The car was great. My experience, however, has been horrible. I rented a car from 2/10/17-2/13/17. When I checked the car back in, everything was great. The lady at the front desk said everything was fine, she checked the car, no damages, returned it on a full tank. I left thinking it was a great experience. A few days ago I get a letter in the mail stating the car was overdue. This could not absolutely be right. I called the 1-800 number and advised the lady that this was a mistake. I gave her the correct information and she said they were going to handle it. Yesterday I received a invoice in my e-mail for $1,062.59. I immediately call another 1-800 number explaining what happened. She said it will take 5 days to review and to call back on the 13th. That is absolutely ridiculous. Now I have a charge of $1,062.59 on my credit card and it should only be $156.13. This has been by far the worst car rental experience I have ever had!!! I will never rent another car from Hertz again!!!
Hertz is top notch. Oaklyn NJ location very convenient and no long wait time. Hertz has helped when other rental companies have left my family stranded at a NC airport.
Bait and switch. Do not give this establishment your credit card information unless you want to see unauthorized transactions for hundreds of dollars. They blatantly disregard their own reservation policy and are embarrassingly unprofessional toward their customers. Go to Budget. Hell, go to Tonka.
